The Sandpiper is an 'All-Terrain Chair' AND a 'Beach Wheel Chair'. A 'Beach Wheel Chair' is primarily designed for beach/ water use, whereas an 'All Terrain Chair' Sandpiper is designed with unique Wheeleez polyurethane balloon wheels, allowing the user water access, PLUS a multitude of other terrains. The new Sandpiper All-Terrain / Beach Wheelchair glides  smoothly over sand, grass/turf, mud, gravel, and small rocks. Special Balloon Wheels by Wheeleez are soft and pliable facilitating use on beaches, trails, sports fields, and other challenging terrain. The Sandpiper All Terrain Chair/ Beach Wheel Chair has all the features of the Sandcruiser but smaller to perfectly fit a young child. It is a smaller version of the Sandcruiser, with smaller balloon wheels and slightly smaller frame size (see specifications for details) and it is bright new yellow!! The Sandpiper's upholstery is manufactured from marine grade acrylic canvas, is 'UV' stable fabricated to manufacturer's recommendations. The frame is Electropolished, 316 Marine Grade Stainless Steel for good looks and maximum strength and durability. Other manufacturers don't utilize this unique process which leaves the frame prone to oxidation. Drop-nose frame connector pins ensure easy, no tool assembly/disassembly for hassle-free transport and storage. Conventional designs rely on nut and bolt fasteners requiring tools and additional time to assemble/disassemble. Adjustable leg rest with padded hinge protectors are standard equipment-no need to purchase costly upgrade options. For safety and stability, the Anti-tip / brake bar functions as a parking brake and prevents backward tipping. This system never needs adjusting. Padded, marine-grade acrylic canvas upholstery is UV stable and mold, rot, and saltwater resistant, unlike mesh fabrics, which can exacerbate pressure points. The Wheeleez upholstery is very smooth and comfortable. Adjustable, quick-release buckles enable quick upholstery removal for cleaning and storage.
